This is probably the best way for a country or city to advertise itself, without letting people see too much, this project is allowing people to discover Melbourne from the comfort of their homes. I'm sure this project has sparked a lot of interest in the minds of anyone interested in going to Melbourne as well as people who have never even considered it. This will definitely be a massive trend in the near future.

remote control tourist
How great would it be to be able to have a in-depth preview of your holiday destination, almost like your very own simulation. Well a remote control tourist gets pretty damn close. Tourists now have the option of experiencing Melbourne as is they were a tourist themselves before they even get on the flight. This project involves two people would are taking requests (via Twitter, Facebook and remotecontroltourist.com) from people all over the world to visit different parts of the city; their adventures are recorded and streamed live using helmet mounted cameras. Fans have also requested random acts of kindness such as giving strangers hugs and flowers.
